Liverpool's 4-1 thrashing of newly promoted Norwich City on Friday night with Salah getting on the score sheet kicked off a brilliant match day 1. This was followed by Westham's heavy defeat by Manchester City which saw Sterling score a hattrick to end the score 5-0. And then Tottenham beat Astonvilla 3-1 with Harry Kane netting a brace, Aubameyang scored the only goal to give Arsenal a win over Newcastle. The weekend of football ended with a spectacular Manchester United display against Chelsea at Old Trafford where Rashford's brace ensured Chelsea suffered a 4-0 loss.
