It was a harsh welcome for Frank Lampard in he's first game as Chelsea coach. Manchester United scored 4 goals, 2 from Marcus Rashford, 1 from Anthony Martial and the other from Daniel James who was making he's debut to ensure Chelsea suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss.

Chelsea had started well with Tammy Abraham missing a good chance. They looked to be giving United a run for their money in this match. But moments later Chelsea defender Zouma fouled inside the box and a penalty was granted which Rashford converted.

In the second half United were ruthless, making the most of the counter attacks that led to the next 3 goals which dusted the game.

This was Frank Lampard's first fixture as he was returning to Chelsea as a coach. He had a successful career in he's 13 years as a player for Chelsea, winning 3 Premier Leagues, 1 Champions League, 1 Europa League, 4 FA Cups, and 2 League Cups. During this time, he scored 211 goals to become Chelsea's all-time leading goalscorer and yet he was a midfielder.

Manchester United made sure Lampard doesn't enjoy he's return to Chelsea. He needs to recover from this big loss very fast to make sure it doesn't get any worse on Wednesday against a more attacking Liverpool side whom they will be facing for the UEFA super cup.
