Weights: 19th May 2020 + A Did You Know Question
Good Morning
Yesterday was a rush, and I did not even know when it came to an end. But I slept like a log after that. It only shows that it was a day fulfilled. However, I am a bit behind schedule on a few things, but I should be able to catch up. The most interesting one that I am involved in right now is Maynia; it is 50,000 words per month contest and uber fun. If time permits, take a look at that contest.
Days are quite good, and work-life is going well, only the household chores pile up every time we think about food. 😊
Anyway, let’s get to know my schedule for the day.
Yesterday evening was the start of the week regime along with my daughter, and we went for the longer version of our exercise.
Here is the longer version:
- Warm-up: About a minute
- Suicide-drill: 2 Sets
- Shuttle-run: 1 set with 4 reps
- Jumping-jacks
- Wall-sits
- Push-ups
- Crunches
- Step-ups
- Squats
- Tricep Dip
- Planks
- High Knees
- Lunges
- Push-ups and Rotation
- Side Planks – each side
Each exercise is for 30-seconds with a 10-second break. The only thing that we did not do is Langdi. I had to skip it to get back to work. So, maybe today we will have Langdi for a longer time.
Today morning focus was once again back on abs, going with my stated goal of doing abs every alternate day. And I follow the pentaplet form instead of the triplet.
Here are my pentaplets:
- 1-set of crunches
- 1-set of reverse crunches
- 1-set of obliques (alternated with side planks)
- 1-set of glutes
- 1-set of lower back
I did a total of six pentaplets, and also a two-minute focused weights on obliques. The glutes and lower back were added just a couple of days back from Christiano Ronaldo’s video doing the rounds on YouTube. Check it out if that interests you. 😊
That’s it for today. I will see you all tomorrow.
Namaste!
And wish you all a lovely day!

Did You Know?
I had posted earlier that George Hood of the U.S. holds the record for the abdominal planks. That record stands at 8 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds.
Here is a video of the man in action and receiving the Guinness Record certificate.
Watch and have fun:
Feeling inspired? Trying doing a three-minute plank to start with and then take it as much as you can go! 😊
