Good Morning

Happy Friday to all and those that work in anticipation of the weekend, it is Thank God It’s Friday day. Much like every day of the week, today has been exceptionally awesome and it has only started. There’s a lot to look forward to today. So, I am having fun seeing the day unfold!

The summer is at its peak around Mumbai, however, monsoon has made its presence felt with thick clouds. No rain yet, but you know the clouds themselves are good enough to shield us from the sun; at least, to start with. 😊

Anyway, let’s jump to my exercise schedule.

Yesterday evening my daughter went ahead with the exercises solo. I joined in the warm-up, after which she took over and completed the regime. Here is what she did:

  1. Warm-up: About a minutes
  2. Dynamic abdominal plank: 45-seconds
  3. Burpees: 6
  4. Side planks: 30-seconds each side
  5. Rock-climbing: 45-seconds
  6. Reverse cycling: 30-seconds
  7. Reverse row-hold: 30-seconds

Since I joined her only for the warm-up, she dropped the suicide run and shuttle run. So, she went straight for planks and other exercises. So, not much action on my part.

Today morning the focus was on shoulders and I followed my triplets form of exercise. Here were the triplets:

  1. 1-set of Surya Namaskar (did side planks once)
  2. 1-set of weights for shoulders
  3. 1-set of weights for triceps

I did six triplets. I am quite happy with the progress that I have made so far. I checked my tracker yesterday and realized that I have exercised every day since 6th April, non-stop. How’s that for some achievement? I am loving myself a lot more for being so focused and things look extremely good from here.

Anyway, that’s it for today. Glad that you stopped by, and I will be seeing you tomorrow!

Namaste!

And wish you all a lovely day!

Did You Know?

I had posted earlier that George Hood of the U.S. holds the record for the abdominal planks. That record stands at 8 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds.

Here is a video of the man in action and receiving the Guinness Record certificate.

Watch and have fun:

Feeling inspired? Trying doing a three-minute plank to start with and then take it as much as you can go! 😊
