Good Morning

So, yet another beautiful and eventful day. I am happy that I am being productive in all that I am doing and then can find quality time for exercise too.

Talking about exercise, I got back to the evening ritual with my daughter and loved it. I have no clue why I missed it in the first place. It wasn’t worth losing.

Anyway, let’s look at my schedule starting yesterday evening.

Yesterday evening my daughter and I got going with the shorter (yet intense) version of the evening regime. Here it is:

  1. Warm-up: About a minute
  2. Suicide drill: 2 sets
  3. Shuttle run: 1 set with 4 reps
  4. Dynamic abdominal plank: 45-seconds
  5. Burpees: 10
  6. Side planks: 30-seconds each side
  7. Rock-climbing: 45-seconds
  8. Reverse cycling: 30-seconds
  9. Reverse row-hold: 30-seconds

We really powered through the exercises with a break only after the burpees. It was fun, but we couldn’t do our Langdi session as I had work to complete though there were no complaints from my daughter. Today, I will figure out to include Langdi too.

Today morning was back to abs, glutes and back. I follow the pentapulets for this version of abs. Here they are:

  1. 1-set of crunches
  2. 1-set of reverse crunches
  3. 1-set of weights for obliques (alternated with side planks)
  4. 1-set of glutes
  5. 1-set of lower back

I did a total of six pentapulets and at the end added three-minute weights especially for the obliques. It was quite a fulfilling experience.

So, that’s it from me for today. I will meet you tomorrow again. See you till then!

Namaste!

And I wish you all a lovely day!

Did You Know?

George Hood of the US holds the record for abdominal planks. The record stands at 10 hours 10 minutes. The previous record-holder was Mao Weidong of China, who held the plank position for 8 hours and 1 minute.

Phew, even the previous record-holder wasn’t bad, in my opinion. My longest plank so far has been for a two-and-a-half-minute. That’s tiny in comparison to the record holders.

What was your best abdominal planks time?

Let me know in the comments.😊
