Este año en la Ciudad de Lima (Perú) se celebrarán los Juegos Deportivos Panamericanos que reune a la Elite del deporte de todo el continente americano. Esta torneo tiene cita cada cuatro años, y es una especie de juegos Olímpicos para el deporte continental.

La idea de estos días es ir presentandoles a diferentes personalidades de diversos deportes a nivel mundial sobre los que se esperan destacadas actuaciones. El día de hoy es el turno de Caterine Ibargüen.

Esta destacada atleta Colombiana oriunda de Barranquila es una de las animadoras de la elite mundial del atletismo en la prueba del salto triple.

Entres sus pergamisno tiene en su haber múltiples campeonatos mundiales y es dueña de dos medallas olímpicas. La de plata en los Juegos de Londres 2012 y la de oro en Río de Janeiro 2016.

Durante muchos años fue quien reinó en la prueba del salto triple hasta la aparición de la Venezolana Yulimar Rojas con quién protagniza memorables duelos en el circuito internacional.

Duena de un carisma y talento como muy pocas veces se ha visto en una pista de atletismo, se la puede ver sonriente en cada competición demostrando el gran disfrute que le produce el deporte más allá de las presiones.

Esta atleta de 35 años tendrá su cierre de carrera después de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020.
