Drogba says PSG duo Neymar and Mbappe will both win Ballon d'Or
The former Chelsea and Ivory Coast star, Drogba says the pair each have what it takes to win the coveted award in the post-Messi and Ronaldo era.
Didier Drogba is of the opinion that Neymar and Kylian Mbappe whom he says are Paris Saint-Germain's exceptional strikers, will both win the Ballon d'Or during their careers.
The duo are the reason why PSG is exerting great influence and dominating French football since linking up at the start of the 2017-18 season. Between them, they have scored 115 goals across all competitions.
Drogba, the former Chelsea and Marseille striker believes that these PSG's potent attackers, Neymar and Mbappe will join the illustrious group of Ballon d'Or winners.
"Neymar likes to create spaces and Kylian likes to move into those spaces. Neymar creates and Kylian profits. It works very well," Drogba said.
Just watch them when they are together on the pitch. They are constantly looking for each other. It's almost the first thing they do when they touch the ball. It is obvious that when they are not on the pitch, PSG are not as strong."
Neymar has, despite hostilities at the start to the campaign after an off-season transfer saga during which he reportedly pushed for a return to Barcelona, continued undeterred. On September 14, he scored a stunning goal which led to PSG winning the match against Strasbourg. He was booed at by PSG supporters and just last weekend, he duplicated the feat against Lyon.
