Messi reveals why he will never be friends with Cristiano Ronaldo
Despite the Real Madrid forward claiming the pair could be pals in the future, the Barcelona star, Lionel Messi, has admitted he does not think he will ever be good friends with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Though they have taken turns to win the Ballon d’Or since 2008, The duo have remained rivals throughout their careers and are not known to have a relationship off the pitch, although they have never shown disdain for each other in public. Messi does not see it happening in the foreseeable future.
Friendship is built through spending time together and getting to know each other.
We have no relationship, mainly because we only see each other at awards ceremonies, and that’s the only time we speak.

Messi spoke on facts. Maybe in the future when the duo retires they can build that friendship. Their fans are always on each other's neck as to who is more deserving of the GOAT title but if they become true friends, the football world would be at peace.
Never is such a long time but when they do retire, I think it will be possible for them to become pals.
