I'm disappointed I missed the voting period for this post. It deserves a lot more rewards.

As only a moderate fan I love super fights. That being said I agree completely on the way these have been handled as of late in the sport. I'm with you in understanding that attracting others like me that will only tune in for those kinds of fights is the monetary motivation. The problem is if you begin to make every fight like that then even the real super fights won't have the same value since they've been taxed by the mediocrity of the non-superfights.

Thanks pal, I think that the transition that the UFC has been making to be more and more like WWE has been a bit sickening... but ultimately effective. As I have said many times before I think they have gone too far with the BMF belt and whatever the hell that belt is that Colby Covington is carrying around being not just allowed but embraced.

Will the fans tolerate it? I think so, sadly. The rankings no longer seem to matter.

But then again this sport and all other combat sports were never about rankings, it has been about money for a loooooong time now.
