GenSan pride boxer Gaballo advances in US to fight against Vargas

MINNESOTA, USA -- The General Santos City-based boxer and undefeated "Assassin" Reymart Grande Gaballo will fight knockout specialist Yeison Vargas from the Republic of Colombia.

Gaballo vs Vargas being sold out to Warriors Boxing, TGB and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) will be aired on Fox Television to be held at 5 pm0pm CST, Saturday, August 31, 2019 (Sunday, 6 am RP Time) at the Minneapolis Armory.

23-year-old SanMan Promotions member Jim Claude Manangquil, former World Boxing Association (WBA) interim champion Gaballo (21-0, 18KO) will take on Colombian Bantamweight King Vargas (17-1, 12KO).

Gaballo, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday yesterday, recently announced that TGB is contracting Pinoy boxing icon Manny Pacquiao as its Promoter in America.

“I'm trying to play this game because it's my debut fight on PBC. I cannot say that I will defeat my opponent but I will make sure that on that day we will win for our country. I thank the people who support Team SanMan and Moroteam, ”Gaballo said in an exclusive interview via online chat.

Gaballo is grateful to his grandfather, Camelo Gaballo, who influenced him to love boxing from his hometown of Polomolok, Cotabato del Sur.

Gaballo vs Vargas is just one of the undercard of Erislandy Lara (Cuba) vs Ramon Alvarez (Mexico) for the vacant WBA Super Welterweight Title.
