Lokomotiv Defeats Fakel In The 2019/2020 Russian Men's Volleyball Championship
Week-in week out they have shown what only champions of the game are capable of in regards to their hunger, hard work, resilience and most importantly, their overall team work/performance which has pushed them atop the championship standing at the time of writing this.
Yesterday's clash against one the championship's best this term, Fakel, away from home was proof that Lokomotiv truly meant business and will go the extra mile to secure Russia's most valuable and highly coveted volleyball trophy, the russian men's volleyball championship.
The visitors won the game by a 2-3 (18-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 7-15) victory against a top team , Fakel, who prior to the encounter occupied the number fourth spot in the championship standing. One player worth mentioning during the encounter was Lokomotiv's Sergey Savin who secured about 21 points for the winning side which in some magnitude, proved decisive and instrumental in their win over Fakel.
It can be said that Lokomotiv's victory was a narrow one but the hunger and resilience they have shown so far gives them an edge over most of the other top teams in the competition this term and if the others fail to come up with a strategy, then we might see Lokomotiv lift the trophy of the 2019/2020 Russian men's volleyball championship.
