The 2019/2020 CEV women's volleyball champions league has continued from where it stopped in 2019. A lot had happened since the competition took off last year in the women division, with the top-guns as well as the under dogs from different leagues and countries all over the world, all battling for one of volleyball's most coveted trophy.

Yesterday's encounter featured one of the best teams in the competition this term, Dinamo Moscow, going head-on against a weaker bulgarian based team, Maritza Plovdiv where the unbelievable happened. It was indeed an upset for the home team of Dinamo Moscow.

Maritza Plovdiv's performance during the clash was nothing short of "outstanding and surprising" as they did what had never been done in their history in the CEV women's champions league after securing a win away from home.

Maritza Plovdiv's Aleksandra Milanova was the highest scorer of her team, after hitting 18 points which together with the overall efforts of her team mates, proved decisive and instrumental in their 1-3 (23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 17-25) win against one of the competition's most fiercest and successful in the history of the competition.
