PH women's football team, ready for AFF cup

The country's women's team is ready to feed the dust for the 2019 AFF Women's Championship held in Chonburi, Thailand from August 15 to 17.

Having learned at the Pinay kickers closed camp at the Ateneo de Manila University campus, and winning an 11-0 run to face the Macau team in a friendly on August 3, the group is confident they are ready for the tournament.

"The Philippine women's national team has continuously set the bar in recent times," said Philippine Football Federation secretary-general Atty. Edwin Gastanes.

"We wish them luck as they look for a podium finish in the AFF Women's Championship," Gatanes added.

The tournament is part of the preparation of the Pinay Kickers for the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian Games held in the country.
