India Win Series With a Thumping Win Over Sri Lanka

India experimented a lot yesterday by shuffling their batting order. While the move might not have worked but India were still able to post a big total. Sanju Samsom was drafted in the playing 11 and came in to play at number 3 after the fall of Shikhar Dhawan. Samson hit first ball for six but was lbw on the second ball he faced. After his fall, there was still no sign of Kohli coming out to bat. Shreyas Iyer was sent at number 4 followed by Manish Pandey at 5. Kohli came in at number 6.

India was still able to score big runs mainly because of the fact that openers gave them a great start. Shardul Thakur and Pandey scored quickly towards the end. Lankan bowlers had no answers for Indian batsmen who kept scoring runs at a great pace.

Sri Lankan batters came in with one thing in their mind - to score runs quickly. However, Indian pacers were spot on with their line and length and Sri Lanka lost 4 wickets for just 26 runs on the board. Mathews and de Silva showed some grit and stiched a good partnership between themselves. Sri Lanka were playing very well and they were not too much behind the required run rate. However, after the fall of Mathews, Sri Lanka lost ploy as no one supported de Silva and they fell short by 78 runs.
