With Boult back in the side, the New Zealand pace attack looks excellent now. If they decide to with a fourth pacer, Jamieson might make his debut.
Santner has been dropped from the squad following a string of poor performances. Ajaz Patel has been included in the squad go fill up for Santner. Ajaz Patel was born in India and now he will be playing against the county of his birth. His inclusion in the squad is purely on the basis of his performance in the domestic cricket of New Zealand.
Jeet Raval and Matt Henry have also been left out of the squad owing to their dismal show in the Trans-Tasman rivalry. The first test is scheduled to start from 21st of February.
