Allegri to United - What did the newspapers say?

Italian coach Massimiliano Alegre is close to succeeding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United this season.

According to the newspaper "Toto Sport", Manchester United has intensified negotiations with Allegri, to train the team for an annual salary of up to 7.5 million euros.

Manchester United have struggled this season, finishing 12th in the Premier League table with 9 points, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Allegri is considering bringing Juventus duo Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic to Old Trafford.

Mandzukic, 33, was the target of Manchester United at the Mercato last summer, in exchange for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku to the old lady, but the deal failed.

Mandzukic and Emery were out of Juventus coach Mauricio Sarri's seasons this season and have been left out of the Champions League squad.
