Mikel obi retires from international football

Super Eagles Captain and former Chelsea and Middlesbrough player John Mikel Obi has announced his retirement from international football, the 32 years old who started his national debut at the under 17 world cup in 2003 said " In 2006, i played my first official Championship for my country. 2019 African cup of nations mark my last game in the same County i started with the Super Eagles."

The 32 year old secure a bronze medal at AFCON 2019.

Odion Jude Ighalo also retires along side his captian, the Shanghai Shenhua forward and former Watford striker helped Nigeria to claim a record 8th bronze medal at AFCON 2019.
