Algeria has been crowned the African champion 29years after their first and only AFCON title. The glory came after beating the Senegalese team by 1 goal to nil in a very competitive match that kept everybody in suspense until the final whistle was blown.

Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo won the Golden Boot being the top goalscorer with five goals.

Algeria goalkeeper kept 5 clean sheets the most in the tournament.
