How to get out of the motivational hole

Doing Sports and the motivational part

Many leisure sportsman regularly ask themselves the question why they handle that sporty pain. It is important to have a good answer to this question in order to persevere.

For many fitness enthusiasts, it is difficult enough to even start doing sport. And it is even harder to keep up after several weeks. It usually doesn't fail because of willpower. Most simply stop playing sports again because they are lazy.

The problem is rather that it grinds in the foundation: Many don't ask themselves the right questions right from the start, "Why do I do sports? "Only those who know what their motivation is can recall this motivation if they are sagging - or if they are avoiding the lean period altogether.

Own health as motivation

There are external and internal motivational factors for sport. A typical internal motivation is one's own health. But it is particularly important to go into detail, like "The goal of being healthier is usually too intangible to spur you on in the long run." It is better to become aware of what is healthy about sport - for example, building muscle to prevent back pain.

How do you guys motivate yourself for Sports, Fitness etc?

Hi Uwe! Good question!

My motivation for doing daily sports (like cycling, long walks and just recently I discovered running!) are:

  1. I have since many years two chronic deseases (diabetes type II and high blood pressure). Both can be handled with daily sports, aka go out und get moving! I do not take any medicine and my blood values are quite normal.
  2. We all do not get younger. But while getting older, we can stay much fitter when we push our body to be physically active, so he has to build up muscles, stamina and strength. Combined with some healthy food, a relaxed life-style and general positiveness in our mind-set . . . this should be a good basis for a healthy and long life.
  3. I love @actifit and I am doing it since more than one year! The community and support from my fellow actifit-users is great and is in itself a great motivation to stay motivated every single day!

Good reasons - I am not convinced on point three regarding the blockchain and its tribes as Actifit is 95% useless content, you are one of the good exceptions though!

AFIT tokens can now be transferred to steem-engine and can be traded. Also there is much more to come. I do not think it is useless.

Many actifit posts though are - regarding their content - dumb and not really enlightening.

But this is in general also true for the majority of posts on the Steem blockchain.

Some valid points - the actifit automatic post template simply invites low quality per design. You are different for sure

I totally agree, Uwe! The original post design from the actifit App does not comply with my view of how a post should look like. Thats why I upload since I started actifit my own version of it, which makes more work though, but it reflects my way of expressing my feeling how this kind of "short" posts could be done.

Maybe in the future there will be design-people hired at actifit who take care of this subject. Their wallet UI is also not "das Gelbe vom Ei", if you compare it to steem-engine for example!

Yes I know Peter, you are different which I appreciate - I have no issues with short content at all, sometime a photo says more as a long written article.
