Women football, it's getting more populair every day

Women's football is becoming increasingly popular in the Netherlands. This is of course partly because the orange lionesses have become world champions, but also simply because girls / women are increasingly enjoying the game.

You will be amazed at the level, that's just really good.
Yesterday the ladies of FC Twente visited our club to provide a clinic for our girls department. Everyone thought it was great. FC Twente is at the forefront of women's football in the Netherlands. Renate Jansen also plays in the national team and was also at our club to give the girls tips and tricks. It was a successful evening with a good turnout, there were 68 participants.

You should see it over here. There is so much diversity. At the lower age groups they even have coed teams. It is pretty awesome. I can honestly say Soccer (football) is one of the only sports in the US where females get as much recognition as the men(sort of). The wage gap for our professional team is still a huge issue. The success of the American womens team has spark a lot of young ladies to pick up the sport.
