It's no news anymore that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been dismissed by the club. He was sacked after five years in charge as the Head Coach of the team. In four out of his five seasons in charge he led Tottenham to top-four finishes. In 2014/15 season he finished 5th on the log, 2015/16 he ended the season in the 3rd position, 2nd position in the 2016/17 season, 3rd position in the 2017/18 season with 77 points ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea, he finished 4th position last season with 71 points.

Mauricio Pochettino led Spurs to their first Champions League final last season 2018/19 where they lost 2-0 to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. They had an impressive run in the UEFA Champions League last season with exciting victories over Manchester City and Ajax Fc in the knockout stages. The Manchester City vs Tottenham Match ended 4-3 with Tottenham winning on away goals after a 73rd strike by Llorente. They also pulled a dramatic comeback against Ajax after they suffered a home defeat in the first leg. The second leg ended 2-3 in favor of Tottenham.

After a quite successful last season, Spurs have recorded just five victories this season and in the words of chairman Daniel Levy he said in the clubs best interest a change had to be made.

Tottenham Hotspur is currently 14th in the Premier League table. They have won only six of their 24 league matches.

Pochettino's coaching staff also left the club. Jesus Perez, Miguel D'Agostino and Antoni Jimenez are part of the coaching team that worked with Pochettino during his time at Spurs.
