Very Happy How The New Steem Is Playing
First of all it came as a total shock when I found I had some Leo sitting in the wallet and had to find out a little more. After reading Ashers post yesterday it made more sense and I think it is right that they used Pal stakers as a guide to who should receive the air drop.
Why drop to users who are just going to cash it in and are only thinking about the now time frame and not about supporting others in the future. Whoever sold theirs must be thinking twice now as they could miss out in future airdrops if other tokens go the similar route.
I can't believe that my Pal posts make shitty returns and that tells me that the ones who are following me have sold or had very few Pal to begin with. They are not very Pally if you could call it that lol.
Sportstalk on the other hand is a good bunch of sporty people who seem to be with it from day one and are doing remarkably well. I have seen it slowly growing and getting more traction which is going to be good for the price in the long term. My aim is to be as big as I can on there and support as many posts as possible going forward. At one stage the token was up by 200 percent during the day, but volumes are not quite there yet.
Everyone who hasn't been around for the last 6 weeks is in for a shock as not only did they miss Pal but now the Leo air drop as well. This is big going forward as most of us are earning 3 tokens on posts now and maybe we don't have enough tags as 5 seems to be getting a bit tight these days.

Palnet is for blogging, steemleo is for financial posts, sportstalk is for sports. Having more than 5 tags with free downvotes incomming almost ensures a lot of people will be getting flagged for abusing tags in hopes of collecting tokens. I suppose you could write a post that incorporates all three or even more, however it would be difficult to write a post that is related to 6 or 7 or 8 tags that aren't just synonyms of each other.

I agree and that is what I thought as well until I looked at the Leo posts tonight. They are not investment posts at all or very few of them are.
It will be overwhelming for folks that want just tokens.
But if you are here writing and doing your things, life will be beautiful.
Steemleo could be the one people get flags, sportstalk is straight just talk about plain sport

Its going to take a while for these communities to form. I'm suspicious that they are selling tokens. Steem Leo is selling tokensnworth nearly 3 million Steem. They are dropping them to people who are Pals (ie. People who blog about stuff that isn't necessarily investing). They haven't clearly explained why they need around 1.3 million USD or nearly 1% of Steem's current supply to do something that can simply be handled by a hashtag.
I guess the best advice is don't remortgage your house to get these tokens.

I agree with what you are saying and haven't physically purchased any myself. In my eyes Steem is the main coin and these others have value here for now , but what will it look like in 3 months or even 6 months. I hope it is not going to come tumbling down and is sustainable.
In that case that will put pressure on steem token and we may see the price dive more if the steemleo whales dumped their tokens.

I sold some Leo. I'm not going to write many investment posts and I can use more Steem. I am staking my PAL and voting with it. I've no idea where this is all going. I have tokens that are supposedly worth a bit, but it doesn't look like anyone is buying.
This new steem is just superb i must say. Everything going smooth and interesting. I am happy to be part of it
