The yearly tournament which holds at the Roland Garros will now through from May 30th to June 13th with qualifiers taking place a week prior.

The French Tennis Federation who approved the postponement said it's the solution to the current lockdown imposed.

With the FFF president Gilles Moretton saying:

"It will give the health situation more time to improve and should optimise our chances of welcoming spectators at Roland Garros, into
our newly-transformed stadium that now covers more than 30 acres."

The postponement is set to alter the ATP and WTP calendars thereby resulting in an effect to summer grass-court season.
