Welcome to week 3 of the Steem Fantasy Premier League. The game week starts on Friday evening where Aston Villa host Everton. Don't forget to submit your changes Friday afternoon!

Previews

Friday 23rd August

Aston Villa V Everton

Everton, with 5 clean sheets from their last 6 games, face a Villa side that haven't won a Premier League game at the last 15 attempts. There is a slight chance than one of last weeks dream team picks Digne will miss the game for Everton, but Bernard looks set to continue his good start to the season and could be the player to watch.

Saturday 24th August

Norwich V Chelsea

Chelsea, unbeaten at Carrow Road in 7 games, face the Premier Leagues join top scorer in Teemu Pukki in the early kickoff on Saturday. Lampard is yet to record a win this season and The Canaries must fancy their chances against what looks to be a tough season ahead for The Blues.

Brighton V Southampton

Brighton have only lost one of their last 11 league games and they host Southampton who are without a win in their last 7 Premier League ties. Southampton have also not beaten Brighton in their last 7 attempts and face Glenn Murray who has scored in three of his four league appearances against The Saints.

Man Utd V Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have not scored yet this season and have not won a game against Manchester United in their last 22 league meetings. Anthony Martial has a chance to join Dwight Yorke, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney as the only players to score in the opening 3 games of a season.

Sheffield Utd V Leicester City

The first Premier League encounter between the two sides. Leicester visit off the back of three draws and their main man, Jamie Vardy has not scored since April - 360 minutes. Sheffield United have fielded an all British team in both games so far this season and will be looking to take something from this game due to Leicester's slow start.

Watford V West Ham

Newly promoted teams Watford and West Ham face each other in the top flight and this looks to be an important game even though it is so early in the campaign. West Ham are without a win in 9 games and Watford have conceded in each of their last 14 league matches. Watford’s Gerard Deulofeu scored in both fixtures against West Ham last season and could be the difference on Saturday.

Liverpool V Arsenal

Perhaps the biggest match-up this weekend as Arsenal visit Anfield without a win against Liverpool in their last 8 attempts. Liverpool have not lost in their last 39 Premier League home matches and could be looking to Firmino who has scored eight goals versus Arsenal to add to that tally at the weekend. Fantasy League managers will be keeping a keen eye on this game as teams are packed with players from both sides.

Sunday 25th August

Bournemouth V Man City

Bournemouth have never beaten City and look unlikely to break their duck this weekend as the champions are scoring goals for fun at present. Raheem Sterling has scored 8 in 7 games against Bournemouth and will be looking to assist master Kevin De Bruyne to create the chances - De Bruyne needs one more assist to become the fastest to 50 assists in the Premier League history.

Spurs V Newcastle

A win for Spurs would be their 5th consecutive league game victory against Newcastle but will need to be weary that Newcastle have a good scoring record against Spurs, scoring more goals scored in the PL against them than they have against an other side. It's Pochettino’s 500th game as a manager, and he'll be looking to ensure Bruce is the first Newcastle coach to lose the opening 3 games of a Premier League season.

Wolves V Burnley

You would need to go back to 1939-39 to find the last time that Wolves drew their opening 3 league games and they will be looking for a win against Burnley who have not managed a goal in 14 of their last 19 games verses Wolves.

Top Transfers

No surprises to see Norwich's Pukki as the most transferred in player this week following four goals in his first two Premier League appearances. If Anthony Martial can continue his good start to the season then his price looks cheap and managers have picked up on this making him one of the top 5 transferred in players too this week.

On the way out, three of the top 5 transfers are from Liverpool and Arsenal who face each other this weekend - managers potentially viewing this match as a tight affair in which goals will be few and their budget could be better spent elsewhere. Frazer appears in this list for two weeks in a row, impressive! :)

Good luck with your selections this week!

Crystal Palace are so bad. I took an 8 point hit just to get rid of them. Brought in Martial, Ndidi.
