This Venezuelan boxer by the name of Edwin Antonio Valero Vivas, popularly known in the boxing world as "Inca Valero", was born on December 3, 1981 and died on April 19, 2010, at the age of 28.

The "Inca Valero", had a very sad childhood, where he was mistreated by his parents, and at a very early age ran away from home, beginning to defend himself from others, and to join bad company, which led him to a world of perdition and vices, finding his home in the streets.

But, it was at the age of 12 that he started boxing, and it was there, where he realized that this would be his great passion. Edwin Valero, had a motorcycle accident, where he fractured his skull, which caused irreversible damage. But with his faith and perseverance, he was able to recover satisfactorily and return to the ring.

Edwin, in his professional career, won a total of 27 fights; he was the only boxer who has been able to achieve 18 wins by knockout (KO) in the first round in a row. Besides, he won two world titles, that is to say, he knew no fear.

His first knockout was in 2002 against Hernandez. In one year he made 8 fights, all of them were in Venezuela and he won by knockout. In addition, the "Inca Valero" wanted more, traveling in 2004 to the United States to fight, but after an MRI, which showed irregularities, denied him the license to fight in that country.

Likewise, as many of us know, "Inca Valero" was a faithful follower and sympathizer of Chavismo and manifested it in many ways; he had an image of President Hugo Chavez tattooed on his chest, therefore, it is said that due to this political ideology he was denied his license to fight in the United States, since Venezuela and the United States had broken relations. The "Inca" was an example to follow for many, since due to his traumatic childhood and a great accident that almost cost him his life, he managed to recover and become known worldwide.

Edwin, also known as "Dinamita", left a great void in the boxing world; he was a promise and an example to follow, since he managed to get ahead despite all the vicissitudes that were presented to him throughout his life, no one has been able to beat his records.

It should be noted that Edwin was a persevering being, who at his young age, and despite all that he suffered in his life, managed to reap many triumphs, which filled him with glory and satisfaction on a professional and personal level. We still do not know what led him to make this tragic decision to kill his wife and then commit suicide in prison, leaving his children fatherless and motherless. The boxing world was shocked and mourned his departure. Only questions remain unanswered, such questions are what led him to this determination; only he and God know.

Edwin will never die, he will always be remembered by all those who knew him, admired him and in one way or another shared with him his triumphs and the desire to move forward despite everything he experienced in his life.
