My Actifit Report Card: March 14 2021

Woke to a huge thunderstorm - 5 am said my wife. Added to a disturbed night. Plan was to drive to Blue Mountains to see the pink flannel flowers. They only flower after bush fires and substantial rain

I booked a place right near Echo Point as it had a full kitchen which is my way of avoiding covid stuff.

My wife chose to drive a longer route along the Putty Road - lovely road between Yengo NP and Wollemi NP - too bad it rained all the way. We stopped for coffee half way in the back woods. Coffee was good.

Got to Katoomba. Unloaded. Went to shops to get dinner. Then went down to Echo Point to get photos. It was cold 8C cold - after yesterday at 32C.

They have built a new walkway down below the shop - spreads the hordes out

Accommodation fit what we wanted - space to spread out, a kitchen. Too bad TV had no sound and WiFi did not work. We watched streamed stuff on my iPad. I hate property owners who get complacent when they have a good location. Bad news is covid killed their business - pissing off the visitors that remain will be the final nail.

Dinner was a few oven specials from Aldi - scallops and prawns baked in the oven. Worked well on a chilly night.
