My Actifit Report Card: March 24 2021
Sun came out for the first time in a week. Sure pleased we escaped over weekend for 4 days of no rain. Took the chance after zone home chores to ride down the hill to walk a loop in pursuit of 3 orchids.
Tracks were wet - more like creeks. Early mushroom time
First orchid target - acianthus - leaves are still small. This is normal as this is a south facing slope
In among the heart shaped leaves is a chiloglottis too (bottom left). Next stop to check on greenhoods
A way to go - nice mini mushrooms
A few of these purple flowers as I headed up the hill

This little white flower is smaller than a penny
These are just beginning - maybe 9 inches off the ground
Was beginning to doubt I would find an orchid in flower - maybe have to make do with this bonnet orchid closing up shop.
As I tracked lower down the hill I found some chiloglottis in flower
Light was low on a south facing slope which necessitated a leaf back drop
Track blocked by fallen tree down the length of the track - took a while to find the track again. I was the first past the point
Colours more muted on this flower but structure is the same - thinking choottis diphylla
A little more front on.
What has me confused is the calli do not go as far down the labellum as diphylla but not half way like seminuda

Nice to get out and ride and walk
Got home and found leech on my foot - walking in sandals brings this hazard. The leech did not die hungry
We have a friend staying a few days. She arrived not long after I got back.
Dinner: Pasta bolognese - was good.
Trade action: Another late night - bought oil shipping (NM, TK). Lots more income trades. A few key naked puts - TSLA, GOOGL, LIT, LTHM.
