My Actifit Report Card: June 20 2020
Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by!
It’s Saturday and that means I get to sleep in. I got two new pillows yesterday; the shredded memory foam type. Boy did I sleep good. So good that it was almost like being drugged! Unfortunately even though I felt like I slept well, I was ridiculously tired. I eventually climbed out of bed, took a shower and made a coffee. It didn’t help much.
We spent a couple hours on a voice chat with our silvergoldstackers community. After that, we headed out for a hike.
The weather was grey and gloomy with the threat of rain every second. I came across a lot of interesting things to photograph; so many that I can’t share them all today. I will include some on future posts though.
My first of 3 snail babies today. He was a 7 year old.
Actifit-Lamb was with us of course, and for her picture, she chose this lovely soft bed of moss. I could even have gone for a nap on it, it was that nice!
Just as we passed between the two Sentinel Fir Trees that stand on each side of the trail, I spied Camo Slug on one of the trees. @dfinney, this picture is for your viewing pleasure. 😇
Upon finishing up the back side of Buckhorn Loop, we came upon a nice little bed of mushrooms.
We finished our hike with nothing more than a little misting of rain. 😎
A little dinner, TV, and blogging and then I’m planning on going to bed.......maybe early? ( early would be before 11:30 pm, lol!)

Beautiful photos, do you mean the snail is seven years old?
Yes! Their number of swirls indicate how old they are. In the wild, they can live upwards of 10 years. I've found several 7 year olds, 6 year olds, 5 and 4 year olds and one 3 year old! It's quite interesting, and apparently one of the things I have to do is move them out of harms way so no one can step on them. It's like finding miniature treasures. Maybe I'm weird? I only found one snail baby today on our hike which I'll include a pic of in tonight's post. He was 5 years old. It's good to know I'm not weird! I was the only girl when I was growing up that I know had pet frogs lol! I played with fuzzy caterpillars and made pets out of the 17 year locusts when they emerged. Thanks @rmsadkri! We are looking like we might be headed into a little warmer weather and less rain. I am just hoping for the mid 70's with sun and billowy white clouds and a breeze with low humidity! Can I order that, do you suppose? Take care and thanks for commenting!

Yeah, well Camo Slug is pretty disgusting, lol! As for the mushrooms, I don't think so. They remind me of another 'shroom in the area that is, but these are much smaller than those. Fortunately, I don't really care for mushrooms, and I've heard of so many people, even 'experts' who have died because they ate one that they shouldn't have. Thanks for commenting @fat-elvis! Hey @silversaver888! I was running and experiment with the tag, and I think I will keep using it as long as no one gets offended. As for the mushrooms.....my phone was very close to the ground - not necessarily me, lol! I do twist and contort now and again, but mostly it feels like I'm standing on my head.
