Barcelona to offer Lionel Messi new contract

Barcelona set another offer for Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi's contract with FC Barcelona expires this summer, and it is still unknown who the Argentine star player will turn out for next season. As you know, 'Blaugranas' number 10 tried to leave the club last summer, and it wants the management of everything in the world not to become a reality in this transfer window.

Therefore, the Catalan big club has reportedly offered Messi a 10-year contract extension. Thus, it will apply until the Argentine is 44 years old, if he signs it. Spanish TV3 reports that the ten years will not all be as a player. The period, on the other hand, will be divided into three stages in the following order:

  • Two years as a player in FC Barcelona.
  • Three years playing in an unnamed club in the USA, where he will also act as ambassador for FC Barcelona.
  • Five years associated with FC Barcelona's football department.

It has long been known that the club's president, Joan Laporta, will do his part to ensure that Lionel Messi stays in 'Blaugrana', and the contract play is thus an attempt to realize this. The Argentine world star has scored 38 goals this season and assisted a further 14 in 47 matches.
