Hello, there! How are you? How is everything going on around you? Hope that everything is happening according to your plan and expectation. I am also fine, Alhamdulillah. This is my 23rd #iamalivechallenge post, the project run by @flaxz. This is also going to be my today's @actifit report.
At first, I am going to share a case history of An unfortunate patient with primary infertility . Then I will include some take-home messages on today's topic. Following that, I will mention why I am grateful for today. And finally, I am going to share the proof of today's win. Hope that you will stay with me until the end of the post.

Case history

Yesterday afternoon an Omani patient came to my chamber. His age was 30 years. He has been married for the last 10 years but doesn't have any kids yet. He and his wife have consulted multiple doctors. The doctors haven't found any problems with his wife. Then he did his semen analysis when he came to know that the problem was in him. He was suffering from azoospermia. It is the cause of male primary infertility where there is a complete absence of sperm within the semen.

One of the causes of such condition is blockage of the tube (through which the sperms come out from testis). With a glimpse of hope, he went to a urologist. The urologist examined him, did some surgical procedures and found no blockage, rather there was no sign of sperm in either of his testis. Anyway, he was given some medications (to ease his mind, maybe).

Today he came to check again if the medicine worked or not. Alas! Nothing has changed according to his report. I had nothing to say except saying sorry.

Over time, it seems like he succeeded in controlling his emotions. However, I could see the pain and feeling of worthlessness in his eyes. He left with a fake smile on his face!!

The report of the patient

Take-home messages:

According to John Murtagh's patient education (2012), about 10% of couples are infertile.

The causes of infertility are found in both husband and wife.

Females are responsible for 45% of cases, and males are for 40% of cases.

In around 25% of cases, the problems are found in both sexes.

Unknown causes contribute to 15% of cases.

Why am I grateful for today?

I am grateful to my creator that I am alive today.

I am grateful to Allah because I have a beautiful kid. Alhamdulillah.

I am grateful to my Lord because He made me a doctor.

Alhamdulillah!

Here is the proof of a win. It is a project run by @wil.metcalfe and @adventureready.
