Son Heung-min Premier League Player of the Month for October

Son Heung-min's slick performance in the Premier League was appreciated. The Tottenham Hotspur forward was named Premier League Player of the Month for October. Son featured in three Premier League matches for Tottenham in October. In three appearances, Son scored four goals and two assists. Son started October with two goals and an assist as Tottenham beat Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford. When Tottenham were matched by West Ham United, the South Korean player made one goal and one assist.

In the last Premier League match in October against Burnley, Son became the hero of Tottenham's victory. He scored the only goal in the 76th minute to bring Tottenham to a 1-0 win. For his performance, Son was named Premier League Player of the Month for October. The 28-year-old footballer outperformed other candidates such as Harry Kane, Che Adams, Conor Coady, Pablo Fornals, Jack Grealish, Thiago Silva and Kyle Walker.

Son thanks everyone who voted for him to be Premier League Player of the Month. This means a lot for him Son has now scored a total of eight goals in eight appearances in the Premier League this season. He is at the top of the 2020/2021 Premier League top scorers list alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy.

Thanks to Son's neat appearance, Tottenham are now perched in second place in the Premier League standings with 17 points from eight matches. Jose Mourinho's team is only one point behind Leicester City who are at the top.
