My First UK Steemian Meet-up!
The day started off with a 5km run and as the day has gone on, my legs have stiffened up a treat! I haven't run that distance for well over 5 months. I had to stop but it took me around 28m 30s... Road to get under 20 minutes for a 5km is going to be a long one but I'll give it my best shot!
But that's not the main reason for this post oh no! Today was an awesome day as I did my first steem meet up with @cheese4ead and his family in Oxford, UK.
We talked about all things steem with all these new tokens appearing and communities, @steemitbloggers as well as our own @phctop3 contest and how far we have come since we launched in March this year! Looking forward to reading all about his travels in Malaysia on @travelfeed as we talked about that as well 🙂
It was great to meet you Gaz, hope we get to do it again soon and maybe we can celebrate the 1 year anniversary of PHC TOP 3 with @foxyspirit and @plantstoplanks as well 😀
I'm not looking forward to the aching muscles tomorrow now though 😂

Hehe thanks @jayna! I believe there was another UK Meet-up happening at the same time in the south East but we had already had this planned. Hoping to get to meet more steemians actually, it was great fun!

It was great to meet you mate. It's funny because I feel I know you quite well anyway, and probably vice versa, but always good to meet up.
I reckon we have started something bigger. Maybe we work on next year's meet up and start recruiting the other UK members that we know of?
As for the phctop3! I'm really proud of what we have achieved so far. We have a great team and I'm excited for the future. A phctop3 meet up is definitely a great focus for us to aim for. Where is halfway between North America and the UK? Lol.

Yes I think that's a great idea, I know @c0ff33a was organising a UK meet at the same time we met up but hope there's some more UK Steem meet ups in the future that we can make it to!
1 year phctop3 anniversary sounds great to me! How about Greenland/Iceland? Haha! Could see the Northern Lights?!
My legs are still suffering from that run on Sunday, can barely walk down stairs!

It's awesome you got to meet with a team member!! Happy for you both.
But guys really... I'm not sure I could make it to the UK. It's really expensive traveling there lol. But the planning is still pretty fun! Anyway, who knows what will happen in a year from now 😉 if the possibility is there, I wouldn't miss it!
