I know this may sound crazy but its actually what I saw on the news a few minutes ago. The news article, which was featured on Allfootball, said Manchester United have allegedly giving up on signing Jordan Sancho from Borrusia Dortmund and have instead turned her sights to Ansu Fati, the teenage sensation at Barcelona.

Understandably, Ansu Fati is one of the hottest teenage prospects on the planet right now, given his fast peace and good combination of skills. However, It is quite unlikely that Manchester United have given up on the Sancho they've d been following all season. Ever since Sancho left Manchester city for the German side, Manchester United have repeatedly sent Scouts to monitor the young player who has been firing on all cylinders; scoring goals and assisting others.

Ansu Fati, meanwhile has struggled for game time especially with the signing of Braithwaite following injury to Suarez. There were reports that there were disturbances in the player's camp and that Agent Jorge Mendes was looking for suitors.

Given the current global pandemic, and the resulting financial crisis, reports had emerged that Barcelona are ready to sell off all players except, of course, Lionel Messi and Ter Stergen.

Now, the shocking fact is that Manchester United allegedly tabled a bid of 100 million pounds for Ansu Fati.
This Is reported to have unsettled the governing board and a meeting with boardroom members had to be convened. However, Bartomeu stamped his authority and declared that Ansu Fati was not for sale. The president affirmed that the teenager is a member of the first team squad and that very soon, they are going to conjure another contract which would see them increase his release close to 400 million pounds to stop suitors.
Mendes went back to told Manchester United that Fati is an untouchable.

No official affirmation or denial of these dealings have appeared on Manchester United website. I'll be watching keenly to see how this plays out.
My opinion? I'd rather that Manchester United go for a proven performer if they are indeed ready to splash that cash.
