What Should You Always Have When You Fight For Self Defense?

When you fight in a fighting competition, your goal is to win the match. You might be under pressure. You might get injured. But there are rules to prevent anything bad happens to you.

There might be rules like where you cannot hit and what kind of strikes are allowed. You wear gloves, teeth guards, and other necessary protection that keep you safe.

When you learn martial arts and do sparring with your training partner, that's safe. It is world of difference when you actually face threat in real life,. Well, we can comment about you should have done this or done that, but the person who has been going through this, he/he knows what it feels like making any move in that situation.

When the attacker attacks you, he will do that with full force and intends to hurt you pretty bad. Your training partner will never do that, no matter how hard he goes during sparring.

When you are afraid, you are threatened and you see if you try to do something, what would be the possible results in case you fail, you might act differently. You are going through a lot of pressure and stress when your life is in danger.

So what can you do to protect yourself?

Think practically what you can do in that situation. This is not a movie you are in. This is real. If you ask me whether I have all the answers about how to defend yourself in real life, the answer is, no, I don't. But one thing that someone can always have to defend himself or herself, that is hope.

No matter how severe the situation is, don't give up. Think based on reality what possible action you can take to protect yourself. When you learn and practice martial arts, you are more aware of yourself what you can or cannot do.

You can punch, and strike, that's great. Having stamina is really important. Even though you know how to fight, you cannot continue fighting when you are out of breath. You should incorporate exercise and training to increase your stamina. You will find it handy for self-defense.
