The team wanted a big name coach to be the successor to the Brown Sixers next season as expected. The river which eventually defeated former Houston Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni. During his coaching career Rivers posted more than 940 regular season games and more than 94 seats.

The Doc River was the right thing to do for the Philadelphia 76ers but it was on paper Brett Brown coached the Sixers for you and during his tenure with the team he kicked them out of the basement but in the end he couldn’t take them.
