New Zealand vs West Indies Match Review // 1st Test
It was the 1st test match between Newzealand vs West Indies. Newzealand won the match by an innings and 134 runs. It was totally one sided match and West Indies couldn't show anything especial in this match. Now i'm going to shortly review the match.
Newzealand started batting first and scored total 519 runs by 7 wickets in the first innings. NZ opener Young went early then Williamson came out and made a big partnership with Latham. Williamson recorded his best score of 251 runs off 412 balls including 34 fours and 2 fours. He is really an amazing classic batsman as well as a true gentleman. Latham scored 86 runs and Jamieson scored unbeaten 51 runs. Caribbean pacer Roach and Gabriel both picked up 3 wickets each.
In reply WI packed up 138 runs in 1st innings then followed on for 2nd innings. In first innings no Caribbean batsman standed against Kiwi bowlers. Kiwi fast bowler Southee picked up 4 wickets, Jamieson and Wagner both picked up 2 wickets each.
Again WI packed up 247 runs in 2nd innings. The game was almost in the pocket of NZ. In 2nd innings WI lost 6 innings just scoring for 89 runs. Then Joseph and Blackwood made a 150 runs plus partnership. Blackwood scored 104 runs and Joseph 86 runs. But after Joseph wicket again there was a wickets rally. Wagner picked up 4 wickets and Jamieson 2 wickets in 2nd innings. Williamson was the player of the match.
