Motogp 2020 World Champion Candidates
MotoGp only has 3 series left. The competition for the world title this season is still happening between 6 riders.
The European MotoGP Series, the Aragon MotoGP, and the Portuguese MotoGP which will still be played in the rest of the 2020 MotoGP. At this weekend, the European MotoGP will be held.
The 12th race of the season will take place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia. The main course will take place, Sunday, November 8, 2020
In the MotoGP standings, Suzuki's rider, Joan Mir, is in the top rank. He collected 137 points.
Rins already has a 14-point advantage over the Petronas Yamaha SRT rider, Fabio Quartararo. Four other riders who have also crossed the three digit points are Maverick Vinales (118), Franco Morbidelli (112), Andrea Dovizioso (109), and Alex Rins (105) points.
There are still 75 maximum points that can be achieved by riders in the rest of the 2020 MotoGP. Takaaki Nakagami (92) and Pol Espargaro (90) even still have a chance to become world champion even though they are very slim.
With all the surprises this season, Mir clearly cannot relax with the points advantage over Quartararo.
Quartararo declined after winning the Catalunya MotoGP, until finally he had to be willing to hand over the top position of the MotoGP standings to Mir.
In the last three races, Quartararo can only collect 15 points. Meanwhile, Mir appeared consistent by earning 37 points.
After the European MotoGP race this weekend, Circuit Ricardo Tormo will host the Valencia MotoGP race again on November 15th.
