The debut racer of the Pramac Ducati MotoGP Team, Jorge Martin, is certain to miss the two MotoGP series in the future, namely the Spanish and French GPs due to injury. Reportedly Martin suffered a fracture in training at the Portimao circuit last weekend to be temporarily replaced by Tito Rabat. If Rabat is also unable to do so, then Ducati will be forced to field a test racer, Michele Pirro, to step down as paving.

Martin will undergo surgery in Barcelona. Martin has had very serious problems in his right ankle, right wrist, left hand muscle and left knee.

If the operation is successful Martin will return to MotoGP at the end of May when the Italian GP series is held at the Mugello circuit. Martin performed superbly at the Qatar GP. Martin managed to get on the podium. Currently Martin sits in 10th place in the MotoGP standings with 17 points
