Blast from the past - Rally Liepaja 2017

Hi, friends!

Latvian European Rally Championship event called Rally Liepaja is one of the fastest on the calendar because of it's fast and flowing roads without too much bends.

When I look all the Scandinavian rallies, also Russian and now this Latvian, all of them have similar roads configuration with so high average speeds on it. Yeah, you really have to be brave to go flat out on them. No room for errors here.

Edition 2017 of this rally brought some new names, some youngsters who will have also leading roles in sport in a few years.

We have Kalle Rovanpera who finished 2nd, as a 17 years old boy, and who is now Toyota WRC driver. Winner of this rally was teenager Nikolay Gryazin who is now Hyundai R5 works driver and Oliver Solberg, son of ex-WRC champion Petter, made his debut with Peugeot 208 R2 rally car.
