Onboard rally video of the day - Bonato with Citroen C3 R5 at ERC Rally Hungary 2020

Yoann Bonato is triple French Tarmac Champion and all three titles he won with Citroen. First title in 2017 he won with DS3 R5 model and other two (in 2018 and 2020) he won with their newest rally weapon called Citroen C3 R5.

Citroen is developing C3 Rally2, something even more developed for 2021 and I guess that Bonato will continue their collaboration in 2021 because why to change the winning combo?! The only reason to change something is when you get a better offer or you got fired.

Bonato tried European Rally Championship outings this season and showed that he can fight against the best but in Hungary he finished only 14th.

It seems that combo of wet and dry tarmac full of mud and gravel didn't show Bonato's confidence on the special stages.

This season he drive Rally Hungary, Rally Fafe Montelongo (where he finished 2nd overall) and Rally Islas Canarias (where he also finished 2nd overall). That means two 2nd places in the three ERC outings. Not bad.

No one can say how he will perform on the gravel stages if he will drive a full season in 2021 but he can try that for sure.

And don't forget - he finished 12th overall on Monte Carlo Rallye 2020 with the same car.
