A seat for one

Today was a kind of standard work day, the temperature was not to bad this morning at around 44F so I went for a little stroll before work and a walk after lunch to get most of my steps in.

In a recent post @wwweibe and myself set ourselves a quick challenge to get photos on a normal perhaps ordinary subject, and we decided in SteemUSA to expand the quickfire Fast and Furious challenge to members of our community, and I started it off yesterday with the subject of a Seat, I was going to make it bicycle seat, but decided to make it a little broader and hopefully easier for others to join, so my SHots in tonights post are all seat related.

I am sharing a few shots related to this theme three taken with my camera and edited, and a few taken today with my iPhone

Starting with this shot of one of the seats of a row of the Citibike for hire bikes found all over the city

1 1 I want to ride my bicycle.jpg

Next up a pretty new and colorful Huffy Bike seat

And finishing off the camera shots with a seat that has clearly had a lot of use.

And continuing the Bicycle seat theme I set with some shots from my Iphone today

Starting with a shot i did in a mono edt on the default camera app on the phone, this is one of the manu food delivery peoples bikes, you can se its eating cooler in the city when they have the glove thingies on the handle bars

this next shot I wanted to do selective coloring on, to highlight the colors eat and take away the distracting backgroundso tried out a couple of free apps on the App Store and came across Color Pop which is free and easy to use

In fact s easy to use I tried it on a couple of other shots
I did not know Fuji Make bike seats

And i liked the red glow on this one a bike for liveries from a deli

And finishing off with another mono shot, seeing plastic bags on seats and handlebars is quite common in the city especially on delivery bikes

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Interesting seat, that multi-colored one. It reminds me of a bowling ball I saw, once... lol.

Bicycle seats - interesting photos, and never seen before, at least not by me, I think ;)
I like tht first shot most, because the blue bikes are standing in a row and that front bike saddle stands out ... looks good 😊

I can't say as though any of those look particularly comfortable. It is amazing to me that after all these nears they continue to make such nut busters! I like the idea of those rent-able bikes in the city though. It is a very cool concept.

I to think the rentable bikes are a greta idea and they get a lot of use, and I do agree also about the seats, never have found one that is comfortable r anything but a short ride well back whenI used to ride bikes

Oh man! While still living at the old place we went to go and search for one of the old wide bicycle seats. Not one could be found as everyone stocks these new fandangled bum creepers.
You have a great collection of them here JJ.
Blessings!

I remember y bike whenI was a kid with I think they were called a Banana Seat and ape hanger handle bars, never see those anymore I wonder why not they were so cool at least to me back then

Well later in life we moved to ape hanger handle bars and extension forks on motorbikes my friend. We called the bikes "choppers" and my old Triumph had a smaller front wheel to drop the frame of the bike more. It had a "peanut" shaped gas tank and "Star of David" shaped rear view mirrors on the handle bars. A big silver colored wolf's head on a metallic midnight blue background was painted on the tank. That bike was a real beaut!

Only thing about the Bonneville was oil leaks my friend. I parted with the bike eventually and got a Yamaha on a sale that was one of the Traffic Department's bikes. They upgraded to BMW bikes.

Oh yeah you are right. I have to get the times right as one tends not to consider the differences across the world. I imagine that I have told someone to have a good night when it was early morning in their country hahaha.

Greetings is just to formal for me LOL, but i cant repeat on here how I sometimes start LOL

Depending on the Audience if its all guys I worked with in the field I can say one thing if its a mixed group I need to be more conservative :)

Looks like there are a great many bicycles up your way. Those seats are very interesting. I love your photography effects.

My favorite seat is this rainbow colored one. Is that a cover on the seat?

Much thanks to @enginewitty for sharing your post on #PYPT today!
