Courtois; Portugal is not only about Cristiano Ronaldo
From 2011 to 2014, it was Thibaut Courtois who featured for Atlético Madrid while Cristiano Ronaldo played for Real Madrid.
Now the two will meet again when Belgium meets Portugal in one of the European Championship 1/8 finals, and the Belgian goalkeeper believes that he has developed more than Ronaldo since then.
I think he has continued to be the same player as when I was at Atletico. I have developed more. It has always been special to play against him.
He is an excellent player - quite proven. We have a plan to stop Portugal in general, not just one player, Thibaut Courtois said at a pre-match press conference.
Belgium and Portugal meet in Seville at 9 pm on Sunday.

If it is a good contest, we already know that there is a personal challenge between the two players...
I think Belgium just have too much for Portugal between De Bruyne, Lukaku and Hazard.
The Portuguese squad seems good too tho, but their defence is what would be the major problem cos I don't see them stopping De Bruyne's passes 😅
But still they have the qualities to win this game, & even went on winning the competition.
Definitely the Portuguese team is not only about cr7 alone their are other players who can do damage at any point in time,with the likes of burno Fernandez of Manchester united,even duo he as not really spark up,but also a certain Silva of Manchester city,joa Felix too and lot more, this players are capable of doing lot of damage without ronaldo in the squad,but his presence will always bring this fear factor to the mind of their opponent base on his records
I guess we will find out tonight how truly developed Courtois claims to have been:-).
In all truth, if Belgium focus only Ronaldo, that'll be their greatest undoing but if they however aim to win they will have to limit his movements and contributions to the game.
