Description from Strava: Big day of travel! I started out in Leeds and took the lovely LNER train down to London. Upon my arrival it was too early to travel out to Heathrow Airport for my overnight hotel stay.
Also, I needed to record episode 11 of the 30 videos I’m doing for @creativeworkhour. So I grabbed a lunch at Marc Jacobs restaurant and lounge called Bookmarc, and recorded there. I show the restaurant that’s inside the bookstore and describe it on the video. So cool!
It took a couple hours to get from Central London out to my hotel at the airport. What I did not expect however is that there was no record of my reservation there.
Apparently, I was colourblind when I booked the stay. I thought I was booking Radisson Red. Apparently, I had booked Radisson Blu.
The hilarity of the situation did not go unnoticed by my life partner @bitterirony, who actually is Colorblind.
The first photo is of me with that look on my face realising not only do I need to get to another hotel but I have to walk there in the dark by myself. Do I look happy?
The second photo is of the hotel where I ended up . I explained the situation at the front desk and had them look up the extent of my status with Radisson Hotels. I suggested that great customer service, being that the mishap was all within their same hotel chain of which I am a VIP member, might be to give me a free drink voucher for my troubles.
As I write this, I’m sipping that glass of wine right now. Take care!
