Description from Strava: Oh, happy day! @bitterirony, just in from Boston to London, took the LNER to Leeds, where I took him to AMBIENTE TAPAS for dinner.

The first photo background is of the front elevation of the restaurant, but the real hero is the BLACK SPHERE on The Calls, created by the sculptor Tom Lomax just before Y2K, in the reconstruction era of the riverside industrial area.

The second photo is the sculpture plate describing the relevance of the BLACK SPHERE to the redevelopment of Leeds riverfront.

The more time I spend in Leeds and along its River Aire, the more deeply I fall in love with the place.
