Olympiacos dominated the match from the beginning and continued to do so after the 20 minute break due to riot of Giannina fans. They moved the ball well and were able to create threats on Souli's goal. Biel, Hames, and Fortounis were particularly active for the Piraeus team. In the 34th minute, Arabi stole the ball and passed it to Fortounis, who then scored a beautiful goal. Olympiacos remained in control of the game and scored a second goal in the 45+1' minute. Fortounis took a free kick from outside the area and hit the ball into the right corner of the goal, past the PAS Ioannina goalkeeper.

During the second half, Olympiacos attempted to control the match, but were unsuccessful as PAS Ioannina had several strong reactions. In the 53rd minute, Liassos from Olympiacos narrowly missed scoring with a header that hit the post. PAS Ioannina managed to equalize in the 64th minute when Pamlidis scored a beautiful shot from outside the area. In the 76th minute, Moreira from PAS Ioannina assisted Androutsos in scoring the game-tying goal. Both teams had further opportunities to score in the final minutes, but the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

An absolute disaster for Olympiacos as the team stays far behind from the first place of the League which is taken by Panathinaikos...
