OK Diner and a Birthday at the White Horse

Lunch at the OK Diner near Stamford

This American Diner is not really round the corner from me and there might be a closer one, but this one made a nice outing anyhow.

Getting a warm Welcome from Uncle Sam

This is what I came here for.. and it was YUM
Toffee and biscoff.. unfortunately no option to have it with oat milk...

Before heading home, very much needed..

A Birthday at the White Horse

Some of us Jammers spent the evening at the White Horse in Arlesey to celebrate @todayslight's Birthday.
The White Horse is the pub where I first met the Jammers, but then it changed hands and the new owner turned it into another restaurant, which put a stop to this.
We all remember great times at the pub, the atmosphere was fantasic and are all crossing fingers hard that we get back in there, which would be great.

Walking with Mia

It got fairly late last night, so getting up wasn't easy, but the day was rather dull anyhow... We managed a late morning walk round Priory Park and the evening a bit closer to home round Henbrook Linear Park, which was nice.

A bit of the brook the park runs along

Last night was lovely. It would be great if we could play music at the White Horse again. I tried not to drink too much as I needed to run today.

It was lovely indeed!
I need to watch it too, a tiny shandy gets me tipsy!
Hope, your run went well!
See you later on!

Is that the American diner on the A1? If so I have driven by it a number of times and often wondered what it is like.

Yes, it is indeed!
The one South bound; On the way back I spotted one on the other side, North bound, but it's part of a petrol station and can be slighly overlooked.
It's certainly worth a try if you're up that way some time..

Seems like a good time out and mmm biscoff. They almost got the 'American' right except they used our Canadian cousins terms for the loo with the "Washrooms" sign, Americans usually say 'bathrooms' :) I love the 50's diner export.
