February 5 2022 - Goal met 🎯 10 km run
It was still a bit cold this morning when I headed out for my run. I had delayed the start a little to let the ice melt a bit but there was still some around. It was a clear sky though and getting warmer.
The photo above is one of the hills on my route today. I haven't been this for a while because it is too muddy to run this route and this time of year. However, it hadn't rained for a few days so I took my chances. Well, I got covered in mud and water soaked through my running shoes. 😒
There was a reason I came this way. A few months ago when I started running again, I first tried running up this hill and used to get out of breath halfway up. I can now run the whole hill easily and carry on for a long way afterwards. (Today I did stop for a fraction of a second to take the photo).
Running up the hill made me feel great so I pushed on enthusiastically and ended up doing over 10 km. This was one of my annual goals to complete a 10 km run and wasn't expecting to complete my goal so quickly in the year.
So I need a new goal. What should it be?
