February 20 2022 - Assessing the storm damage
The wind had calmed down for a while although the forecast showed another storm was coming. I took the chance to go out for a run.
There was a lot of evidence of storm damage with branches down on the footpaths. I found the above tree down on a road near me.
The path near the river was relatively clear but the river was fast flowing.
Whoops, that doesn't look good. This one is the other end of my street. Glad I didn't park my car under any trees.
Well, some damage around! But back to my run....
I completed over 11 km with an average pace of fractionally under 6 minutes per kilometer. Pretty pleased with this. I know I won't be able to run now for a couple of days so can rest my legs. They need a rest!
