April 11 2022 - An evening walk making me thirsty

I went into my London office today to attend some long workshops. Always difficult when I am fasting Ramadan. People love to have coffee breaks and brings snacks to the meeting to keep their energy levels up.

It was ok to be honest but it does make it feel like a long day when you can't even drink water. (By the way, people as me about that every year. "Can't you even drink water?"

Once I had finished work, I felt tired but decided to take a walk down by the River Thames. The views were lovely and the air was fresh. Having not drank anything all day I did start to feel thirsty. 🙃

The sun was looking quite low in the sky as I looked down the river. That meant time to catch the train home before sunset. I just made it in time to break my fast.

It gets easier now we are in the second week but still need to be careful with the thirst.

The Thames is often really nice in the evening, I take the longer walk home to enjoy the views.
