Today I had the day off work to go to my daughter's graduation ceremony at Birmingham University. She has been studying Dentistry for the last 5 years but today marked the end of that chapter of her life.

I was obviously a very proud parent.

The ceremony was ok. A lot of clapping. My daughter was near the beginning so that was fine. By about 400 students later, I didn't have any clapping left in me.

After the ceremony she took hundreds of photos with her friends. It was her day so that was fine.

A long day as was still 2.5 hour drive back to London afterwards.

Ah! Congratulations to your daughter.
That reminds me of my daughter's graduation. We had to travel up to Teeside for that! It's quite an experience as you say the clapping and cheering is tiring.

Thanks man. Yes we do. It is difficult to find dentists. They are in high demand so she has a job for life.
